Privacy policy
This policy explains how Özel Lumos Ağız ve Diş Sağlığı Polikliniği (“Lumos Dental Clinic”, “we”) processes your personal data when you use this website, contact us or receive treatment, in line with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for patients in the EU and UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

- Health data you choose to send: photos of your teeth, X-rays, information about your treatment wishes and medical history.
- Technical data: IP address and browser type for security and spam protection; with your consent, analytics cookies.
- Source data: the page and advertising campaign that brought you to us.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To prepare your treatment plan and answer you — your explicit consent (KVKK art. 6, GDPR art. 9(2)(a)) and steps before a contract.
- To provide and document treatment — legal obligations of healthcare providers and the provision of health care (GDPR art. 9(2)(h)).
- To keep the website secure and block spam — our legitimate interest.
- To measure visits and advertising — only with your consent in the cookie banner.
Who sees your data
Our dentists and patient coordinators. Technical service providers (website hosting, e-mail, and, with consent, Google Analytics/Ads) process data on our behalf. Health data is never sold or used for advertising. Where data is transferred outside Türkiye, we rely on the safeguards required by KVKK and GDPR.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to treatment are deleted after 2 years. Patient records are kept for the period required by Turkish health regulations.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@lumosdentalclinic.com. You also have the right to complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or the supervisory authority in your country.
